WE ARE MAKING HISTORY and we are inviting you to TAKE PART IN THIS HISTORICAL STEP Become a founding member of a liberal and adogmatic Lodge Voltaire No.2 of Masonic Research, Education and Instruction in Ireland, , warranted by the Grand Masonic Orient of Ireland (GMOIRL), which is to be consecrated on the 5th March 2011 in Killarney. Brethren/Sisters who belong to Lodges under the jurisdictions of international Grand Lodges or Grand Orient Lodges are invited to become "Founding Members" of our Voltaire Lodge. We are the most multilingual and multicultural lodge in Ireland and have also non-resident members from different countries of the world. "Founding Member" is an honorary title granted by the Grand Masonic Orient of Ireland against a moderate fee, which will be used for Masonic research and charity. Applying to be a Founding Member credits the Brother/Sister to receive a certificate issued by the Grand Masonic Orient of Ireland and the Jewel of the Lodge. Consequently you will be a member of the very successful, dynamic Grand Masonic Orient of Ireland and contribute to liberal Masonry worldwide. We look also forward to your cooperation and active involvement in our research if you wish. A presentation on our Research Lodge and an Application Form and further information is available. When you are interested to be founder member please address your email to: gmoirl@mail.com Visit also our website: www.grandorientofireland.com

Be cautious! Some recognition only goes one way. Even if the newly formed Grand Masonic Orient of Ireland recognizes your Grand Lodge, your Grand Lodge may not recognize it.

While this forum is not concerned with matters of recognition, one needs to be alert to concerns others may hold, including one's own grand lodge, and be mindful of consequences. One approach may be to open membership to all, even non-masons (masonry is of interest to many academics). I can still imagine some objections but the approach seems to have worked in the case of the International Conferences on History of Freemasonry (the third is to be held this year in Virginia). I attended and spoke at the inaugural meeting in 2007 at Edinburgh and was impressed by the variety of delegates and speakers.

We accept all masons..but unfortunatelly we live in a world which is divided into regular humans and irregular ones, or in other areas fidels and infidels. Tolerance is gone, confrontation is the fashion. Humanity and brotherly love ?

No one is intolerant of you or yours. Other than the fact that you can't sit in my lodge, or I in yours, there is nothing that separates us as individual human beings.
