by Julian Rees. Lewis Masonic. 2011. (2nd edition?).
I first borrowed this from SMC library, I had to return it worse luck but I liked it so much I had to get a copy from the bookshop.
As an EAF I have to say this is one of my favourite books on the symbolism so far, it's very easy to read, concise and is like having a wise elder bro. at hand to explain some tidbit.
I also like how it keeps the explanations to be self-consistent within the 'mythos' of Freemasonry - eg not explaining one symbol by reference to yet another symbolic system (Eleusis, Kabbalah, Numerology etc).
Also how is this for a first sentence "Freemasonry should be fun."
I don't like spoilers so haven't ventured beyond my rank with the book but if it keeps the same style I will be a happy reader.
Definitely worth a read.
