Excellent. I can see what you mean by a masonic theme. Another theme seems to be the traumatized self, reminiscent of Frida Kahlo's "The Broken Column" (self portrait, 1944). The broken column is yet another important masonic theme.

I suggest you Google "Frida Kahlo". Her life was both intensely creative and full of physical and psychic pain.
