This guy is a complete fruitcake. Bro. Dr. Allende was the democratically elected President of Chile, overthrown and presumed murdered (the official version is that he committed suicide) in a US backed military coup and replaced by the criminal, dictatorial regime of Gen. Augusto Pinochet (ironically, another Mason), under which thousands were killed or 'disappeared' and the economy ruined by the implementation of strict Monetarist policies. Kissinger notoriously said: "I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves"

"Masonry: Its not about me changing them, its about me changing me." - Theron Dunn. Contrast: I would say that the thrust of my life has been initially about getting free, and then realizing that my freedom is not independent of everybody else. Then I am arriving at that circle where one works on one self as a gift to other people so that one doesn't create more suffering. I help people as a work on myself and I work on myself to help people Ram Dass (Born this day 1931) "Do you .... solemnly pledge yourself that you are prompted to solicit those priviledges by .... a sincere wish to render yourself more extensively servicable to your fellow-creatures?" - W.M.

It is a false dicotomy to insist that Freemasonry can only be focused on either the individual or on the wider society.
Even the late Bro. Dunn, in saying Masonry was about him, was seeking to influence people other than himself.

To give up the task of reforming society is to give up one's responsibility as a free man Alan Paton

Even Jesus recognized both aspects of reform, only warning against hypocrisy. Saying. "Remove the log from your own eye before attending to the splinter in your friend's."
