The Egyptian Room is unique in NSW as a lodge room, I enjoy being there, pity a RA Mason wasn't shown along with the craft

So you will be a real magusmasonica. Sort of. While membership is restricted to Freemasons, our practices are Rosicrucian rather than Masonic. So more of a Magus Rosicruciana.

It is finished, and a new chapter begins. Thank you to all those present and to the good wishes of others. The simple welcoming ceremony into the Circle of Magi was very touching and thought provoking, thanks to the efforts of R.W. Fr. John Sterling, General-Secretary, acting on behalf of the Supreme Magus. I am confident the Province is entering on a period of renewal under our new Chief Adept, R.W. Fr. John Peverill, and I look forward to working with him in my capacity as Provincial Secretary. Thanks too to V.W. Frs. Bob Hockley and John Kitchings for the lift home to Newcastle, on their way back to Tamworth. I was surprised at the refectory supper by being asked to propose an impromptu toast to the ladies present. In gist, I explained how the subject of women AS Freemasons has been my pet subject for many years and, while that has yet to be achieved in our jurisdiction, in the meantime, we are at least able to sincerely welcome them as our guests. I was further surprised at the warmth (dare I say, "enthusiasm") with which the toast was received: Perhaps the tide is turning!? (The sense of that had earlier led to my rejoining the Craft).
