This remains one of my all time favourites in terms of painting upon a broad canvas Freemasonry's development, essentially up to the modern Masonic post 1717 era, on which the book ends with a brief chapter.
Paul Naudon's The Secret History of Freemasonry remains, as far as I'm concerned, still under-read and too relatively unknown.
