Borrowed this from the Masonic Library, although the title is offputting, I find this series very readable and well organised. (I'd read 'Kayaking for dummies' before and I think it improved my technique). The book is written with a good dose of humour and mythbusting, although down on esoteric interpretations, at least on the esoteric authors interpretation of actual Masonic history. The book has a great blog at freemasonsfordummies.blogspot.com/And a 'mysterious, lost 19th chapter' on the author's site at web.mac.com/chodapp/Hodapps/Books_%26_Events/Entries/2008/11/24_Freemasons_For_Dummies.htmlAs a newbie Mason, this book is gold. cheers, Leon (still a dummy in a kayak though, keep those ferries away from me, please!)

Among my books, it's one I usually have to chase up to be returned .

I was forunate enough to meet an American brother in my Lodge who has previously gone back to his mother lodge in the States. He comes to visit us here in Japan around once a year. After hearing that Chris Hodapp is a member of his mother lodge, he ever so kindly organised a signed version of this book for me. I was well impressed to say the least !
