Phillip,
Came across this disturbing article, the royal order of jesters are on top of the shriners in Nth America, you have to be a Mason to be a member

Terry, I presume the link below more or less refers to the sorry tale of which you write. With Freemasons commonly being the subject of misperceptions we need to be cautious in our opinions of the Jesters and first let the courts decide. If found guilty, unequivocal action should be sought and, if this is shown to be a systemic problem, Freemasons will need to repudiate and sever any institutional ties to the group.

I fail to understand why this group is even associated with Masonry in the first place. They should be cut adrift.

Hi Phillip,
One Jester has admitted to charge and 2 others are I think plea barganing, of course this would not apply to all Jesters but the Feds in USA are now investigating all Jester Chapters.
To be a Jester, you must be a shriner, to be a shriner you must be a Master Mason, there is talk that the shrine wants to do away with MM qualification for membership.

I think the vast majority of Freemasons who know anything about this seemingly sordid affair would welcome any such disassociation.
