Agreed, but I guess we all felt a bit like we could make a difference at one time. Hopefully we haven't grown-up too much. Who knows - perhaps she did sway a few delegates at that assembly.

This young girl is now in her twenties and runs her own NPO and is still very active in her original plight. She has a book out which is very popular here in Japan. It is handed out to parents and children when doing charity activities and when companies are promoting their CSR activities.
