Happy Birthday Bro. Bilal (Brian)Wishing you a great day and success in joining the Craft soon. BTW, the PO Box I gave by email, from a 1984 book by Kent Henderson, may be out of date: Try Freemasons Hall, Nyere Road, Nairobi, PO Box. 41148. Telephone (+254-20) 2720990.

Thank you Bro. Tamrin. It is when am getting your message. I did send the letter to the previous address you had given me but they never replied. Anyway, I have seen the new one you have posted to me. Is it Nyere or Nyerere Road? There is no Nyere Road in Nairobi.
Regards.

Hi Bilal I am sorry you are still having difficulty making contact. I see there is some controversy over Freemasonry in Kenya and the Brethren there may choose to keep a low profile. As to your query, I think you may have answered your own question (I do not know Kenya other from what I read). Another source says "The Freemasons Hall situated on Nyerere Road (formerly Kirk Road) was built in 1935..." Albeit, this source has a number of factual errors (as your difficulty demonstrates, Freemasonry can hardly be considered "missionary in nature"). Failing all else, I again suggest you contact either the Grand Lodge of Scotland or the United Grand Lodge of England, both of whom have chartered lodges in Kenya.
