On the 406 site I have been posting quotes to help debunk some of the nonsense there. A member there said of these quotes. "They dont always answer the question at hand though and can be seen as a denial of service type attack." To which I replied.
LOL Denial of Service Attack, seriously? I would love to be a fly on the wall when you lodge a complaint. I can imagine it going along these lines.
ISP - Hello, Internet Service Provider. How may I help you?
A406 - I would like to complain about a Denial of Service Attack.
ISP - That is serious. Has the traffic to your site increased lately?
A406 - Yes, but not as much as we want, and for the wrong reasons.
ISP - Then what is happening?
A406 - One guest is visiting sometimes more than once a day and posting a few pertinent quotes.
ISP - How is that a problem?
A406 - He disagrees with us and makes us look stupid.
ISP - Do you know why he persists?
A406 - He says he wants us to tyle the forum, remove “Freemasonry” from our name, or to allow contrary opinions to be heard.
ISP - Have you considered doing any of those?
A406 - No. We want to be able to be allowed to openly bring the Craft into disrepute without fear of correction or even of the right of reply.
ISP - Is he denying access to others?
A406 - No. In fact we have banned him, censored him and tried to deny him access.
ISP - Does he engage in personal attacks?
A406 - Not really. We do try to engage him but at most he only mirrors what we have said of him.
ISP - Is that all?
A406 - If we argue from our own authority or credibility he often challenges that.
ISP - Fair enough; so what is the problem?
A406 - His quotes make too much sense and we do not know how to respond to them.
ISP - “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” - George Orwell.
