TRUTHQuotations Compiled by Rodney John O'Brien (Example) The above quote is from Pike's Morals & Dogma, (p.37, quoting Solon). On the same page, Pike goes on to speak of 'ideal truth' and of the 'highest truth,' so Pike is obviously not suggesting truth, as such, is only relative. Rather, both he and Solon were referring to the limitations of human comprehension. Thus, in practice, truth may only be unfolded to the degree it is comprehensible to one's audience. This is NOT to suggest that any "truth" is as "true" as any other. Rather, with intuition, reason and experiment, we may refine our phenomenal understanding and ever more closely approach a noumenal reality: Truth IS what IS!
