1925 - Birth of Margaret Thatcher, (Tory) British PM (1979-90) Iron LadyGod bless Maggie Thatcher. Britian needs her type of leadership today. Would that the US had Reagan back at the helm as well. Far have we all fallen from the era of these two great leaders. You seem to be doing pretty well in OZ, Philip. I'd consider a move, but everything down there seems to be poisonous! And it's too hot for my taste.

I'd consider a move, but everything down there seems to be poisonous! After a while you build up an immunity. However, those who become hyper-sensitive don't last long BTW, we were the official witnesses at a citizenship ceremony of a friend from Colorado a couple of years ago. She too is part Native American. Australia is one of the few countries for which any significant number of Americans are willing to forgo their US citizenship.

There has been Anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?
